Birdfeeder at EarthConnection
EarthConnection (EC) has a new bird feeder with a camera that enables us to view birds on an app on our phones and/or computers while they are feeding. It also identifies the various birds that visit.
Here are the latest stats for EarthConnection birds. Enjoy!
1. We ranked in the top 1% of bird hosts worldwide. We had 4,940 visits with 33 different species.
2. Our top visitors were the House Finch (1720 visits), Northern Cardinal (1,271 visits), and House Sparrow (972 visits).
3. One of my favorite carnivals, called Bruce, visited us 225 times.
4. We were in the top 5% worldwide for House Finch visits.
5. We served an estimated 27 lbs of birdseed.
6. Our feeder was classified as a fort, as no uninvited guests, such as squirrels or raccoons, breached the perimeter!
7. Our feeder is one of 638,084 smart feeders in the network.
We are doing our part. We know the birds appreciate us checking the feeder every day. J
