Presenter: Kathy McDonald, Master Gardener

Get started gardening with native plants by learning how to use them in a basic pollinator garden. Kathy will show her front yard garden design and choice of plants installed in her front yard last Fall.  Plant selection and curb appeal are important for any garden project, and using native plants promote biodiversity and stewardship of our natural heritage. Learn why this is true, and how to extend this theme in your yard or to other landscaping projects.

Kathy is the Program Director for the Midwest Native Plant Society, www.midwestnativeplants.org. She has earned certification for the OCVN (Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist) Program and the Master Gardener Program through the Ohio State University and has a passion for providing habitat to benefit all of creation.
